The girl with her violin having her coffee under the morning sun.
Writer Wayson Choy, featured in Trish's Crawford's article above, sent us this lovely compliment:
"The
Rooster looks a bit like some European sidewalk cafe that invites
people to sit down and linger a bit. And its location looks across a
great view of Central Toronto and a stretch of the Don Valley. Inside,
four cozy leather chairs, the usual two-seater tables, and a counter
taking in that great view. But most of all - crucial to me - the
thoughtful soundscape never competes with conversation or deep
thinking. No rush. Laptops and notebooks are equally
welcomed. And how ingenious to have designed the space to fit in a
large harvest table where a half dozen can work together or break into
pairs. Inspiring. Tactful friendly service and great coffee tops it all
off."
