Museu do Design e da Moda (MUDE) - Lisbon 9

The main floor Post-Modernism collections to the contemporary design icons.
The raw concrete columns, staircase, wall panels wrapped by back-lit transluscent panel walls
set the stage for the exhibition.

Francisco Capelo Collection is a collection of excellence due to the creators represented and the quality and significance of the objects brought together. Has a particular coherence and intrinsic unity stemming from the direct and complementary relation between the two areas (fashion and design). Furniture and small household objects reflects the main design movements and tendencies, while the generally haute couture clothing, footwear and accessories weave the history of fashion during the same period. As Yvonne Brunhammer pointed out, this collection is not limited to industrial production, but rather highlights the diversity of the century "ignoring the overly rigid boundaries and categories (of design)."
